MCA announces Chamber Music Camp 2012

WINONA, Minn. — The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts offers programming in dance, music, visual art, and theatre, year-round. Community classes, lessons, workshops, and camps are offered for ages 3 to adult at the Valéncia Arts Center located at 1164 West 10th St.

MCA will be holding its annual Chamber Music Camp for instrumentalists entering grades 6-10 this fall. The camp will be held at the Valencia Arts Center Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. with a free informal recital concluding the week.

This camp is the perfect opportunity for young musicians to meet new friends with the same musical interest, develop musicianship and leadership skills, as well as build self-confidence in a fun, positive environment. Students will develop the skills required to play in small group setting while exploring a wide variety of musical genres, including everything from Bach to pop! Class days, times, and tuition vary. Financial need based scholarship are available.
